Pan-Ocean Engineering Limited is a privately owned independent company, formed in 1989 with the principal objective of providing a comprehensive range of underwater engineering services to the offshore oil and gas industry. The company has successfully achieved this objective for more than 35 years over a wide range of projects for Shell UK Exploration and Production, ConocoPhillips (UK) Limited, BP Exploration, Talisman Energy Limited and Repsol Resources UK.

In order to offer our clients optimum value, while providing a complete range of services, Pan-Ocean Engineering Limited has established a network of independent offshore engineering specialist companies with which we have successfully collaborated in the past. This approach has enabled us to minimise fixed overhead costs, both in terms of personnel and facilities.
The company provides complete solutions to computer data management requirements. In the case of Asset Integrity operations, this comprises an onshore computer network supporting a range of third party and in-house software packages and the skilled onshore personnel to operate the systems.
SERVICES
SUBSEA ASSET INTEGRITY MANAGEMENT
Provision of all aspects of Subsea Asset Integrity Management from scope definition, budget development, Work Pack production, through to onshore management, inspection data analysis, cost tracking and reporting and final inspection reporting. Subsea intervention programmes covering air and saturation range diving, ROV Support Vessel inspections covering pipeline and subsea structures, Platform Based ROV scopes and landfall inspections. Development of KPI’s to ensure efficient Project Management.
SUPPORT FOR OFFSHORE INSPECTION SUPERVISION
Pan-Ocean’s involvement includes pre-project briefing of third party inspection and diving personnel if required, daily calls, feedback on anomalies found and assistance in work scope prioritisation. Prior to offshore inspection operation Pan-Ocean will brief third party offshore inspection personnel / Company Representatives on inspection requirements, receive daily updates from the offshore site and upload INTEGRITY ELEMENTS/COABIS inspection data on a 24-hour basis.
SUBSEA CONSTRUCTION AND IRM ENGINEERING
Experienced in a wide range of subsea construction engineering services including: conceptual designs, fabrication drawings and cost studies, detailed designs, preparation of fabrication drawings and specifications, installation procedures, ‘as-built’ documentation. Services include platform structural repairs, riser installation, subsea pipeline tie-ins and vessel support modifications.
INTEGRITY ELEMENTS/COABIS WORK SCOPE PRODUCTION
INTEGRITY ELEMENTS/COABIS or paper-based systems are used by Pan-Ocean on many locations. POEL personnel have been involved with the INTEGRITY ELEMENTS & COABIS software since their inception and are very familiar with Work Pack development in INTEGRITY ELEMENTS & COABIS, exporting and importing files, and reporting.
TECHNICAL DRAUGHTING, MODELLING & ANIMATIONS
All aspects of Technical draughting are undertaken by Pan-Ocean from Jacket Plan and elevation drawings, to 3-D modelling of jackets, visualisation (to assist diver / ROV inspection), and animations. Typical subject areas have included: Mooring arrangements and flexible riser arrays, Seabed topography, Field Layouts, Seabed equipment designs and Installation sequences.
EMERGENCY PIPELINE REPAIR ENGINEERING
Developed emergency pipeline repair procedures for numerous pipeline and umbilical systems throughout the North Sea. Pan-Ocean also prepares repair alternatives feasibility and cost studies for a large number of damaged pipelines, submarine pipelines and risers.
